Privacy
Compwn works without an account. The Discord account is optional: it is only there to get your tracking back on all your devices. No ads, no tracking, no statistics about you.
Without an account
Your choices and tracking stay in your browser (or in the Windows app) and are not sent to Compwn.
What is kept with an account
Your Discord id and name, with the day your account was created. Your sessions, as a fingerprint only (never the token itself), with their type (browser or app), the day they were created, the day they were last used and the day they end. Your tracking document: characters, shopping list ticks, choices in “Where do I quest?” and “Show me the way”; each item keeps the date and time of its last change, needed to merge your devices, and the document keeps the day it was last updated. During an app link, the link code (valid 10 minutes, erased the next time the service is used).
What is never kept
Not your e-mail, not your avatar, not your Discord token (Compwn only asks for your id and name, then throws the token away), not your IP address, not the time of your sign-ins (sessions only keep days). Your IP address is only used by Cloudflare's anti-abuse counter and is not stored by Compwn.
Why
To recognise you when you sign in and to sync your tracking between your devices. Nothing else: no ads, no resale, no profiling.
How long
Browser session: 30 days. Windows app session: 90 days. Mark of a deleted item (so the deletion reaches your other devices): 90 days. The account and tracking: until you delete your account.
Hosting
The site, the accounts and the tracking are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States).
Export and deletion
On the My account page: download all your data (JSON file), sign out of this device or everywhere, delete your account. Deletion immediately erases the account, sessions, tracking and link codes from the server; your tracking stays in your browser.
Anonymous contribution from the Windows app
At each sync with the addon, the Windows app sends Compwn the new game facts recorded by the addon (items, quests, creatures, gathering counters), with the game language, its build number and the app version. Nothing about you: no name, no account, no character. The IP address is not kept. Participation can be unticked in the game (see Downloads). The site sends no game facts.
No tracking
No advertising cookie, no audience measurement, no third-party tracker. Only two cookies, set when you sign in: a 10-minute cookie during the Discord sign-in, then your session's.
